I didn’t think I would ever find one of these to replace in my Model 39 long extractor pistol, but here it is. I stripped the metal and blued it before assembly. The disassembly was guided through a long ago copied magazine article and went reasonably well. After I had it reinserted and the pistol reassembled, it went to the range for a test run. Five straight magazines of 9mm reloads and no issue at all. I have learned to never single load cartridges into the chamber from the ejection port as I think that is why my original extractor lost the end of the extractor. Regardless, I have bought another as a back-up and am grateful this has put my first pistol, acquired 60 years ago used, back in action. Thank you Jack First!

I was pleased to receive my S&W 52 Extractor and was pleased with the service and speedy delivery, While I’m relieved to have the spare extractor due to the age of my pistol and difficulty locating parts for the vintage pistol, I was very disappointed with the quality of the finish. For the price, the extractor looks lie a piece of junk compared to the polished blue finish on my S&W. I realize this is not an original part but a little care and polishing could have been performed. I hope I don’t need to put this rough looking part on my pistol
