  1. Patrick McGuire –

I have a Winchester 72A rifle which had a heavily worn cocking sleeve causing problems with cocking and ammo feed. I had tried to find someone locally to build a new bolt/cocking sleeve but failed. I had looked elsewhere online with no luck until I found Jack First. I purchased this as a replacement and it works perfectly. I now have this rifle fully restored and couldn’t be happier.

I acquired a Winchester 69A circa 1950 from a friend that was going to throw it out as being useless. The gun needed a bolt handle/cocking sleeve and appeared to have NEVER been cleaned. I could not find just the bolt handle/cocking sleeve. I came across Jack First Parts. I ordered the bolt handle/cocking sleeve for a reasonable price. It arrived in a couple of days and it fit perfectly! I now have a functioning rifle. I didn’t know it at the time but I also needed the rear sight elevation adjustment. Back to Jack First Parts. I was taken aback by $14.40 for a notched piece of flat metal plus $12.00 shipping! $26.40 for a flat piece that can be sent in a regular envelope for $0.75!! Ridiculous!!
I will make one myself for 50 cents using my trusty file set.
